Always remember this points when you start a communication.
1. You're not an English speaking being in origin: Always remember that as a non English speaking origin, you can make alot of errors but continuity is the key to unlocking your guits and boosting your communication skills.
2. Nobody is above errors: As far as Language is concern been it English or Spanish, mistakes and bad construction of grammar are always some challenges involving both oral and written communication.
3. Accept imperfection: If you tell yourself that you're as good in English as your opponent during your conversation with him or her, you may have challenges in arrangement of your grammar. Always tell yourself "I am not good in English Language".
4. Avoid imitation and mimicry: When speaking to someone you think knows better than you do, always avoid imitating of foriegn tones that are not within you. Avoid using the same diction he/she is using to help boost confidence in you. Inpersination is a key distraction to learners of languages mostly learners of English.
5. Don't be too fast: When communicating with a foreigner, always speak a little sluggish than your mind and thoughts within you.
6. Avoid thinking of how the person describes your poor English: When you think of how a person is considering your diction and grammar arrangement, you'll surely loose confidence in such communication.
7. You're in charge: Know what ever you want to talk about before engaging in conversations. You should have the confidence that you're in charge of your grammar and not the second person (who you're discussing with). You're the key of discussion whenever you're the speaker: use your time wisely when you have it.
8. Listen before you speak: Always pay attention to your speaker and understand it totally and completely before making an attempt to answer his/her question(s). There's no crime in asking someone to repeat what he/she said, do so if you do not understand your speaker.
9. Listen more and speak less: Be more of a listener that a speaker when you're yet to be fluent in English.
10. Avoid too much explanation: Do not explain too much for the more you talk, the more likely you're to commit errors and sometimes even go against your own speech you made before.
11. Think before you speak: Allow yourself to reflect on your mind before demonstrating any attempt to comment, answer or contribute to any discussion.
12. Don't be too serious: Over seriousness can cause people to demonstrate what they was never in their mind and sometimes brings the worst out of you. English is not meant for the serious ones because, your prononciation and word arrangement depends on your mood of happiness.
13. Free yourself from thinking: Avoid thinking of other things been it family or work when discussing an official matter.
